Pricing

One price. No retainer.
No surprises.

Firstspec is a fixed-price studio. You pay once, you get a working MVP in two weeks, and you own all of it. No hourly billing, no monthly retainer, no scope creep.

What Firstspec costs

Firstspec builds your MVP for one fixed price: $999 as a launch price, normally $2,500. That covers both weeks, product clarity and the full build, a live product deployed to your own domain, and complete ownership of the code at handoff. No retainer, no hourly billing, no equity, no hidden fees.

What you pay

One offer. One price.

The entire two-week engagement, from the first clarity call to a live product you own, for a single number.

AI MVP development
The 2-Week MVP

Two weeks from now, you could have a real product in your users' hands. Not a prototype, not a pitch deck. A working MVP, scoped by a product expert and built to launch.

A full-fledged marketing website Limited time
What is included

Everything in the build, and what we leave out on purpose.

The price is the same for everyone. Here is exactly what it covers, and the things it does not, so nothing is a surprise later.

Included in every build

One fixed price, start to finish.

60-minute kickoff call
Product clarity document: ICP, PRD, and cut list
A prototype you sign off on before any code
A live MVP, built and deployed, not a mockup
Auth, onboarding, and all core user flows
A Loom walkthrough of everything built
Clear async collaboration, you updated throughout
Basic analytics set up from day one
One week of post-launch Slack support
Full source code and platform access, transferred to you
A free GTM doc: how to get your first 10 customers
A full-fledged marketing website Limited time

Not included, on purpose

These keep the two weeks focused on one thing: a working first version.

Logo or full brand identity design
Native mobile apps, web is the target for v1
Custom backend beyond Supabase
Ongoing development after handoff
Paid ad campaigns or growth execution

Need one of these? We will point you to the right person for it. We would rather do one thing properly than everything halfway.

Why one fixed price

A retainer bills your uncertainty. A fixed price does not.

Most studios put you on a retainer or an hourly rate, which quietly turns "build my MVP" into a monthly bill and a team you cannot walk away from. Firstspec works the other way.

The usual way
Retainer or hourly

The meter keeps running. Scope grows, the invoice grows, and the incentive is to keep you engaged, not to finish. When it costs more than planned, that lands on your budget.

The Firstspec way
One fixed price

One number, agreed before we start. If the work takes longer than expected, that is on us, not on you. The incentive is to scope it well and ship it, because the price does not move.

What this costs elsewhere

The same MVP, priced across the market.

Rough market ranges for getting a first version built. The number matters less than what you get for it, and who decides what to build.

OptionTypical costWho decides what to buildClarity before buildingIf it is wrong
Doing it yourselfYour timeYou, without a frameworkNoneWeeks or months lost
Freelancer$3,000-$8,000You. They executeNoneRebuild, and the money is gone
Dev shop$10,000-$20,000You. They execute the briefNone$10,000 to $20,000 gone
No-code agency$15,000+You. Faster executionRarelyHigh spend, wrong scope

Ranges are typical market figures for a first version, not quotes from specific companies. Your own third-party costs, like a domain or usage-based fees, are separate and stay in your name.

Why now

The price only goes up from here.

The $999 launch price exists for one reason: to build the first case studies. It is not the long-term price, and it is honest about that.

Now · Launch price
$999

For the first few founders, while Firstspec builds its first case studies. Same work, introductory price.

Next · Standard
$2,500

Once the launch cohort is full. Still well below what a dev shop charges for the same first version.

Later · As demand grows
$2,500+

The price climbs with the portfolio and the results behind it. Founders who start now keep the launch price.

Pricing questions

The questions founders actually ask about price.

Is $999 really the full price? +
Yes. It is a single fixed price for the whole two-week engagement, both the product clarity week and the build week. The only thing that would change it is if the free call reveals your idea is genuinely larger than a first version, and we would tell you that before you pay anything.
Why is it this cheap? What is the catch? +
It is a launch price. Firstspec is new and building its first case studies, so the first few founders get the two-week MVP well below what it will cost later. The work is the same. The lower price is the introduction, not a reduced version of the service.
What happens when the launch price ends? +
It moves to the standard price of $2,500, and climbs from there as the portfolio and demand grow. Founders who start during the launch keep the launch price for their build.
Do you take equity or a cut of my company? +
No. You pay once and own everything. Firstspec does not take equity, a revenue share, or any ongoing stake in what you build.
Are there any hidden costs? +
Nothing extra flows to Firstspec. You will have small third-party costs of your own, like a domain name and any usage-based hosting or AI fees, and those stay in your name on your accounts. There is no lock-in and no markup.
What if my idea is not ready to build? +
The free call comes first. If your idea needs more shaping before it is worth building, we tell you honestly and you keep your money. Building the wrong thing quickly is the exact outcome Firstspec exists to prevent.
